Le Clos du Gué
An 18th-century house set in a flower garden and a wooded park, with its own 16-metre pool.
The house
In the centre of the village of Pressac, in the Vienne, Le Clos du Gué is a fully renovated 18th-century manor house. It is rented as a whole, for families or groups of friends.
It has four bedrooms: three with a 160 × 200 double bed, each with its own private bathroom, and a twin room with two single beds, ideal for children. A fourth bathroom and two separate toilets are on the ground floor.
Shops are 50 metres away. Every morning, breakfast (hot drink and croissant) is offered for up to eight people at our partner café, Le Virage.
Living room, library and dining room
Beneath the old beams, the large living room and library gathers sofas and armchairs around the fireplace, with a TV, DVD/Blu-ray player and an upright piano.
The open kitchen, with its breakfast bar, looks onto a spacious dining room and its long table. It is fully equipped: oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker.
The garden and the park
The walled garden, lovingly planted with flowers, has an outdoor lounge under a wisteria-covered pergola, a large brick barbecue and a second, smaller one — everything for long summer evenings.
Beyond the wall, the one-hectare park, bordered by water on two sides and by a pond at one end, unrolls a wide lawn shaded by tall trees, ideal for walks and outdoor games.
The pool
Recently built in the park, just beyond the garden wall, the 16-metre pool is the highlight of the estate.
It has a shallow area suitable for children and a wide deck with sun loungers for lazing in the sun.
